Chiller kicks in every 10-20 mins?

I recently placed both my Rio32 externally so that my chiller do not work too hard. Then I realised now my chiller kicks in every 10-20mins . It chills also for about 10-20 mins then its stops. after 10-20mins again, it kicks in..

I know my living room gets pretty warm and temp rises pretty fast. I set my chiller to only 28 degrees and it would somehow chill my tank to about 27.8-28 degrees.

Previously with the 2 Rio32 submerged, chilling process takes longer so I do not hear so many kick ins. Now it works less but the frequent kicking in is pretty noticable. Also, don't know whether its going to shorten the chiller life.

is it safe to have Rio32 outside? not sure will there be overheating or not cos' i wanted to host mine out sump but scared.

has the flow through the chiller change? meaning do you notice weaker or stronger flow coming out of the chiller

Yes.. should be.. Infact still only warm to touch..

But need work if you want to do that. Initially i tried but failed coz it leaked.. You need to open up the pump and white tape inside and the screwthread. The the hose connecting part also has 2 parts.. gotta glue or white tape the screwthread parts also. Can also dun use, as with one of my Rio32.

If you do not do all the glueing and white tape, sure leak..

tineng: no flow rate has not changed. Still the same SICCE Extrema pump and its a pretty new one. Can't be clogged right?

Tigger: no.. its an AquaMedic Hailea.

It is not about the kicking in that I'm not used to. Its the really frequent kicking in that makes it noticable.
