Are there anyone out there who is confident in getting all the specs and wiring etc right and maybe we could do a workshop of some sort and all will go back beaming with a DIY MH for their tank at last.

All these wiring and specs are greek and scary to someone like me.

I went down to Sim Lim Towers today. #03-65 has all the stuff to set up your own PL lights - e-ballast (36W) at S$15, holder (4 pin) at S$4.50 but they don't have the any PL lights above 6K.

I inncently asked them is they have MH lights and was quoted around S$275 for a full set including a 10K lamp. Showed me a picture and catelog and its actually a garden floodlight with a 150W ballast. Everythings built into a black metal casing and the brands is LANZIN Olympia 3. He mentioned he needs to order it from Germany if I want it. Anyone have an idea if this will work?

here is a drawing on how to connect a MH (with ignitor). Got it from EYE lighting. I know nothing abt electrical stuff so anyone who can draw a proper one pls do so
