adding lr & sand

hi, there guys & girls.Me just wondering is it ok to add lr & sand after the cycling period?cause the lr & sand went thru the cycling period ,due to some inspiration i got on these forum want to restack my lr and add dsb into my tank.do i need the lr to be cured ones?what about the sand?

yup some 2 damsel fish and a soft coral

Sand shouldn't be a problem except that i will cause some temporary cloudiness. Rocks must be added slowly and they should be cured outside the tank as the die-offs can cause a ammonia spike. Add one piece per week and monitor ammonia and nitrite closely.

tanzy is it ok if i buy those cured one at one go and place the LR in a pail ?how about adding DEAD rock would it cause any problems?

its always better to play safe ieven if u buy cured live rock....

even if buying cured LR its always better to cure it again for at least 2 weeks ... in a separate container and then transfer a rock per week to the main tank...

if u r really impatient, u can put it in one shot and pray for the best..

to you whether they are devils doesn't not matter but i got to agree they could be terror sometimes seen it at some of mine freinds tanks.how about DEAD rocks i still got no reply yet?anyone care to help out

they are dead. no disturbance to the force. but soon they will become live if ur water paras are good. coralline algae and bacteria will start colonising onto the dead rocks

if u r getting dead rocks try getting those porous ones..
