u can try scouting the shorelines during low tide. but be sure to get those bigger one .. shell size at least 20cent coin size.. need alittle luck to find them though. :fear:

the smaller ones are very active but dont usually live very long.. they will start fighting within themselves in your tank if they meet.. u will see lots of casualities after that :cry:

i dun really believe there are any "reef safe" hermits ... haha .. one thing is they go all over the place looking for food. being quite strong and heavy ... they would topple over corals ... injuring them in the process ...

Errr.....

Reef safe hermits

1. Dwarf zebra hermits

2. Scarlet hermits

The above 2 species generally remain small n wouldn't topple too much corals

Common hermits can reach the size of 2" with given shells n they are not reef-safe, especially when they're hungry.
