What is nano?

Hi, what would one consider as 'nano'? from 1 ft cube to 3 ft? I noticed some even hase sump!

I think there are many newbies out there like me who are very interested to own a nano but may not be able to match the expert's nano shown here.

I saw some nano with their back partitioned up as sump, whilst others have undergravel filters which is strongly discouraged by marine experts.

For the sake of all nano lovers and to promote this hobby and keep it alive. Would some kind hearted guy do a step by step guide on how to step up a typical 1 to 2 ft tank?

Best if he can attach photo and also advise the equipment, where to source and estimated cost.

As a newbie, I can then follow step by step and enjoy my tank.
