Ideal Water Parameters

Does anyone know what are the ideal values for water parameters, e.g. NO2, NO3, KH, PH, etc....?

Or any website that mentions these values? I know there are some previous discussion in this forum, just couldn't find it...

NO2 is difinately a big 0

NO3 if you are not keeping corals, then a bit of NO3 is ok. But if you are keeping corals, then best is 0 also.

KH is 8 to 12. But 10 to 12 is better

PH would be around 8.3. 8.2, 8.4 also can.

My tank water parameters below:

NO2 : 0.1 mg/l (ppm)

NO3 : 10 mg/l (ppm)

Didn't invest in KH test kit. Is it necessary?

u can go to marine life to collect the name card

i thought skimmer are suppose to be on 24/7..

u may do water change to bring ur nitrate and nitrate down

Btw how come you have NO2 dectable level? Do check out your ammonia as well. If there are detecable NO2, I'm sure there will be some NH3 as well. KH test kit is important, it actually helps stable PH.

But my ammonia alert (from Seachem) did not indicate any change of color leh..
