Hand Bitten by this while arranging corals.

Hi, can any 1 identify what is this as my hand was bitten by this thing while arranging some corals in my tank. It was ###### blood from my hand and it left a tiny hole on my hand after tat. Will it harm my corals and fish? Please kindly advise.

This looks like a fish parasitic isopods- They suck blood by parasitizing on fish & damaged their tissue but I don't know they are harmful to coral or not... haha sound more scary now right :evil:

bro did u collect your sand from the beach ? haha they are quite common on the beaches.

yeah.. was bitten by this when I was quite young. While playing with sand on the beach.. can never forget what it looks like. <_<

Don't think you can just dose something to remove them. It seems pretty hardy since it can even live out of water. Its also too small to catch out. Think best way is to get something that eats these buggers.

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

should be from your rocks then. Dun forget, even critters much bigger then these can actually live in the rock crevices without us knowing.

i agree.. i tot i was cleared with crabs 2 mths ago..

juz 1 week back, my goby bring out a crab corpse outta its sand terriority..

now i wonder where the crab have been hiding all the while..

any funi tins are hiding in out LRs..
