chuck_D
mine is nano running on single 150W MH 20KK. you can try lar if u want is your tank hoodless? ill probably get a cl650 for my nano to chill. But i am thinking of maintaining my hood but the only issue is the heat might melt the splash guard. any idea how to avoid that? might probably get a 70W since most of the sifus here said it might be an overkill. thanks for the fast response. SRC Member johntanjm Posted January 20, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted January 20, 2007 check out my blog http://myfishyroomates.blogspot.com and go thru past issues to find pix. Also you can check out my tank thread at http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...20entry628257 yes my tank is hoodless and the MH is a pendant suspended above the tank. and yes it burns very hot. but because the way my MH is done up, there's alot of air flowing around so its manageable. lately its gotten to glaring so i DIY and made a 'hood' my recommendation is go for 150W because 70W u will run into problems finding replacement bulbs, bulbs of the right color temperature and stuff like that. main stream people usually use double ended 150/250W overkill wise, yes lar. for your nano is quite overkill lar.for mine also i feel a little overkill but if u have sun loving corals that need photosynthesis, its not all that bad Quote --------------------------------------------- The Deep Blue Sea in My HDB! http://myfishyroomates.blogspot.com
