MH ballast

Wonder if any DIY experts out there can help me.

one of MH lights died. IT burned one of the connections to the bulb. That I can find a way to fix myself (I think).

I suspect the ballast has had it's day. I am hoping to take this opportunity to upgrade to a higher wattage. Would like to ask if any one here if they have done so and if there are any issues I should look out for?

Will I need to change the wiring to handle the higher power? I am planning to use the same housing will that be an issue? Also . . . more importantly how about brands and where to get?

anyone got any ideas or tips?

Where can i buy glass with UV Prot? Feel like changing.
