can a 24w eballast be use for all types of T5 tubes? ie. 10k, 14k, 20k?

any difference between artinic n 10k blue T5?

yes....as long as it is a 24w T5HO Tube...be it how many k...it is suitable....

actinic tube is blue with a little bit of purple....

10,000k is pure white

blue is jus blue...

24w = 2ft and it doesnt matter which colour you are using.

39w= 3ft

54w = 4ft

80w = 5ft

The above are for HO-T5 only

generally more K = more blue..

any suggestion on what types of color n Ks to use for a 2ft tank?

shld i be using 2 x 14k white & 1 x actinic blue(any Ks?) or,

2 x actinic blue & 1 x 20k white?

Eh.. there is one more thing...more K = less par..

So choosing the right colour is important for yr coral to thrive....

I cant really tell you wat you need. Bcos i dont know yr setup. However you may wanna use two whites and one blue.

Like i told you i cannot tell you wat to use....but i can tell you wat i use...

I'm using 3 pcs of ATI Aqua Blue Special (white tube) and 1 pcs of blue plus (blue tube) i dont use Actinic bcos they are only for Aesthetic effect .

so white are more important in a sense.

do u on the 2 whites n blue at the same time? or do u just on the whites on the day and blue for the evening,nite?

the blue will come on 2 hours before the whites and will off 2 hours after the whites.
