Freshwater Top up

Is it necessary to treat(to remove chlorine) the freshwater before topping up or just add untreated freshwater?

yes... you need to treat it first... i use seachem prime... not bad..

It is the best if you can afford to buy a RO/DI unit to treat the tap water. If not, please mix the saltwater and let it stay overnight will do.

the other alternative is to buy distill water to top up.. nowadays NTUC is selling their water at 65 cents for 1.5 L. This will be a lazy way out provided for nano tanks. I dun think this method is NOT feasible for larger tanks - the overhead costs can be quite taxing...
