water parameters on anemone

Recommended Posts

Ya i need more info on anemone. Seems like mine dun like light. I placed it nearer to the top, it just climbs down and hide in a nook where's there so little light. Then it starts shrinking although I tried to feed it.

what is the ideal water parameter for anemones ? nitrate, nitrite,ph,salinity, and what else they need thanks :D

I think one of the most important parameter is the temperature. It is good to have a chiller to cool the water down else your anemone will be in problem very soon. ;)

26-28 wud be better. I hv however kept carpet anemones for over 2 yrs in the past at 28-30 degrees with no ill effect when I didnt hv chiller. Guess its more impt to keep the temperature stable. Anything above 30 for too long a time is also dangerous as the anemones may discharge their zoos.

anemone likes 26-28C best. the original colour will come out when all conditions suit. When I first had an anemone, it was brown seven years ago. It changed to green months after a chiller installed. When the water had seasoned and the tank secured, it changed to white and green striped, very beautiful. It likes high flow priority and secondly high lighting. If you always feed it, it will stable at medium light and high flow.
