But its ideal since u can add some soft corals ..I also using 2 x 39Wx2 (total 4 tube T5) from DE-Lighting ..MH give a better "ripple" effect that T5 unable to match.. IMO, Chiller is a must be it FOWLR or Reef as fishes need us to replicate the environment to meet their needs. Our country is much warmer year after year.. You cant say its a must to have chiller for FOWLR tank.. cause im those who keep fowlr without chiller. i can keep the temp @ 29 deg with a help of a small fan which im running only with t5's...but i must say the evaporation rate is a killer.... Agree with using T5 only and keep at 29-deg may work but most fishes need a cooler environment and I do find that the color of those fishes looks better between 25~27-deg..(Just my own opinion).. maybe my eyes are playing trick on me.. SRC Member wlchew Posted January 7, 2008 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 7, 2008 are you using medic to treat velvet disease in your tank? are they good? Yes..it is one of the two saltwater medication that works!...it is "colorless" but not easily available. the other one is Myzaxin..but got "Green" color..need to use carbon to absorb it..
