Anyone has been keeping an octopus?

well if you're considering having a octopus tank(supposed you've taken everything into consideration and know the how-tos), i suggest having a cuttlefish tank! imo they're really very interesting and its great to watch them hunt. a friend of mine had 1 for about a month, before that fellow :nuke: and blasted the whole tank black and smelly.

Yap.. just make sure that you provide no route for them to escape or they surely will..

I kept a cuttlefish once for like a month.. was feeding perfectly well and everything but then one day it suddenly died.. Just like that... Still dunno why till today but they're really fun to watch..

Erm.... Samll ones. Blue Ring? If you're willing to risk dying that is.

I've kept them for sometime. I always train them to rise to the top of the tank at a specific time to feed it with those FW shrimps..

They always seem to be eating well but only live for 2-4 months.

Any comments?

Did i do the wrong thing?

MMM i kept a blue ring before too....... Anyway anakin, you did nothing wrong, these octopus are very short live but mine better than you, i kept if for ard 6 months
