lighting fixture

Recommended Posts

i just got a used 150watt MH(magnetic ballast) fixture.the problem is the bulb beam colour is white-yellow(my eyes really tired after looking at it for 3-4 minutes) and i dont know the beam temperature etc.

i'm gonna change the bulb soon but need suggestion on what brand ( not too expensive ),how much beam temperature(my tank is 4x2x2) and the best colour so i will not have any problem looking at the tank for 1-2 hours.hehe..thanks.

maybe the low kelvin of the bulb.

Higher the kelvin such as 14k and above 20k blueish effect, simulate deeper penetration

maybe u might consider adding supplement of T5 getting higher kelvin bulb. or change the MH bulb to higher kelvin like 14 or 20k ?

correct me if im wrong :)

ah, the 20K reeflux seems work just fine with as i just got them today. but i support the tank with 2 actinic marine glo t8. the result is ok to me. thanks bro for your advice. :thanks:

with actinic and 20k mh only, you dont have much photosynthetically-usable light over your tank.

now i got 2x20K MH, 2 x 3feet blue t8(in the MH fixture), and additional 1xsera deepbluesky t8 and 1xsera bluesky t8. is this enough for my 4x2x2?
