jaz came back from bangkok found out there is no marine fish shop there only sell fresh water fish and the stuffs there very expensive jaz imagine a xternal filter cost $100 and got no brand some more nearly fainted when i know the price

where in bangkok were u? did u go to chatuchak? there're abt 3-4 marine lfs there.

but most sell marine fishes.. but no equipment.

definitely not worth buying equipment there. imagine going thru all the trouble bringing it back when it cost the same/more than sg.

Just came back from Bangkok last week and found quite a lot of marine fish shop at the weekend market should be at least more then 10 shops but there are veri far in. But nothing special and the price the quoted are carzy just imagine a purple tang selling at $120 Sing. phew.... Equipment better not ask coz singapore is surely cheaper man.

Don't bother looking at the equipment if they are imported products - they are definitely more ex. Almost wanted to buy a chiller form there but the pirce is 10 to 20 % more expensive.

Was there 2 days ago and went to this place called Aor Tor Kor Market to do some shopping. Right opposite the market on the other side of the main road, theres a stretch of fish shops. One of the shop called Phuket Aquarium has a lot of stuff there. Equipment slightly more ex than sin but fishes are cheap. Imagine an 1-1.5" Lyretail Anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis) selling for only 30 Bhat! That is less than S$1.50. Also saw 3" beautiful Purple Tilefish (Hopiolatilus purpureus) selling for 100 Bhat (S$4.50). Imported Peppermint shrimp selling 300 Bhat (S$13.00). Go check it out if you happens to go there.
