Change water! Better find out why the nitrate is so high in the first place.

use nitrate sponge/eliminator...kekeke....tat's always my advice for high nitrate...hehehe :P becos i dunno any other ways to eliminate nitrate ;) well at least my nitrate level are within acceptable range

IMO...use Sera test kits previously...dun really trust them :P i thk Sera have to do more R&D on marine test kits...results not so accurate

I'm using Sera test kit, too. The nitrate level of my tank ..... scare the shit out of me. I'm trying to get second opinion from another brand. How about JBL ?

Though, the nitrate is high (according to Sera), my mushroom and finger coral are growing.

not all fishes will be affected, the hardy ones can tolerate up to 500mg/l

this is the level 50% fish mortality is recorded at in studies.

All depends on what kind of fish u keep, some don't tolerate & will die at 50mg/l

corals can tolerate up to 100mg/l but only for short periods*(before they close up & 'mati') & acros can only tolerate up to 10mg/l max

best do a partial water change as everyone said, somethin dead would have raised the ammonia levels- which once cycled will end up as more nitrates , change first then look into the source of the problem.

don't think of the Intepret tablets test kit, i just tried them & i find readings only accurate for FW, a little off for SW(even though it says for FW & marine).

actually, tangs is the best indictator of water quality.. coz they are very intolerant of bad water quality..
