Puka shell

Recommended Posts

Hi,

have been playing around with the wavemaker for some time, sands still fly...

so now comes with the question if i put in puka shells,

1. can i just dump them into the display tank?

2. will they stay on top of the sand bed?

3. will my green wrasse be able to sneak in and sleep?

4. will it trap wastes?

5. any other side effects?

thanks a lot

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of

rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a

quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of

the deep springs of life.

World of warcraft Power Leveling

Youth means a tempera-mental predominance of courage over timidity, of the

appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of

60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We

grow old by deserting our ideals.

World of warcraft gold

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.

Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder,

the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of

living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless

station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and

power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.

wow gold

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism

and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as

your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die

young at 80.

Maybe you would like to adjust the positioning of your wavemaker to blow it higher to help prevent the sand storm ?

You can put pukka sheels into your main tank, but it actually does not serve as a substrate to replace sand bed except that it help to maintain the PH in your tank... However, some of it may float up in your tank and may become a mess .

There is no reported side effects for using puka shells so far..

Hey, thanks bros.

I have already dropped the idea :D many warned me that it will turn out ugly ......

now i just add another inch of grade 1 sand, and am with mp40w and on a higher position, now seems ok already.

now the problem is that it seems mp40w is too powerful, i hardly can find any place for my gonio and even sun coral. My tank is 4x1.5x2 and is relatively empty (not much rock, see attached)

so would it be better to switch to Tunze Nano Wavebox 6206? how is this compared to mp40w? Any comments welcomed. thanks

now my tank is mostly zoas, will try out some sps later on.

sorry bro, decide to keep the mp40.

Wow.. Nice cabinet.. Where did you make it ?

did it together with my house reno, but better just keep the tank standalone lah...now feel my tank a bit narrow(1.5ft) but no choice.....
