hi bros,

would like to check any expert could share some knowledge with me on setting up a new marine tank. Possible to advice me of what sort of equipment to get, set up and function or have a view at your set up.

I am staying in simei. Currently am into planted tank but know nuts about marine.

current equipment from planted tanks are:

1. 4ft tank without sump (running on canister)

2. Artica 1/4 chiller

3. Solite MH 150W x 2 and T5 55w x 2

4. Co2 tank and regulator

If i were to step into marine (more to LPS), what other equipment should i get?

Hope some expert could guide me.

cheers

welcome to the marine world! hahaha

i stay in simei too! =]

would definately suggest you to convert into a sump tank setup... this will allow you to have a refugium and in-sump skimmer..

you may also like to consider getting FR as well...

another way will be starting with a smaller tank. equipments will be much cheaper n will make ur hobby more affordable. alot of ppl mislooked this n gt a cheap 4 ft tank onli to end up using a undersized skimmer, low flow return pump. i believe u will noe a decent skimmer for a 4ft is not cheap.
