hi all, i dunno what is happening to the chiller, but since today morning, the chiller every few min is like making those boom boom boom sound, which is very loud, like ppl doing construction at ur house.. then the temp is fixed at 29.. no matter what i set it at.. it cant cool down.. what is wrong?

my chiller is Resun CL650

hope can get some advice.. i am afraid all my fishes and corals will die..

resun chillers are famous for boomz. (hehe. pun intended ;)

u can try calling the repair man to see whats wrong. in the mean time, blow a big standing fan directly into your sump. i did this for 5 days when my chiller was being fixed and so far ok.

The "boom boom" is probably caused by faulty/broken fan since you mentioned that the water is not chilling. You should switch it off if you haven't already. As for the replacement cost of the fan, at that price you top up a little might as well buy sunny03's chiller if it is in a good condition.

This is only my guess based on the problems you described.
