Bro, so the eheim 1264 is suitable for a 4 x 2 x 2 tank + sump? how about for 4 x 2 x 2.5 tank + sump

My tank is 3x3x2.5 and I am using eheim 1262. Still ok because I have lots of liverock. My liverocks acts as the biofilter instead of my sump. My sump has a little cheato farm, which is dying.. may be not enough nutrient already, CR to add some calcium to the system, pump for chiller, pump for skimmer feed, biohomes to house some bacteria, FR which I have not change for months <_< ..

I only concentrate on internal water circulation. Probably got around 20kL/hr. May be not enough.

which is better? eheim or aquabee?

I would suggest eheim pumps. Some used continously for more than 10 years without any problem. Jst change the impellar every few years, can already. My eheim 1262 have been running coming to 3 years now. But I have 2 standby eheim 1262 pumps just in case.

I will be confirming my tank end of this month.. my tank size 4ft x 2ft x 27".. cabinet will be 5ft.. so there more than enough space to store equipment..

Equipments i getting:

- 2 x eheim pump

- deltec or skimz skimmer

- DIY lights

- 1/4 hp Artica chiller (hope to find a second hand chiller)

- live rock n sand

- CR n FR will come later

Nothing wrong with purchasing 2nd hand live rocks but the live rocks he is selling is definately insufficient for your 4 ft tank... :P

Bro live rocks that have been established in another reefer's tank is actually good for you. Some might have coralline algae to help you seed the rest of your rocks, and they are relatively stable, and you get at a fraction of the price compared to buying elsewhere.

Do check with the seller though if he's selling live or dead rocks. No indication if they are live.

Tunze 6065 wavemaker has flow rate of 6,500L/hr, so you will need at least 3 for your setup if you want SPS. Also, you must understand that it is non controllable, meaning that the flow rate is constant.

A better option would be the Tunze 6105 that has controllable flow rate (using Tunze Single/Multi controller) of 3,000 to 13,000L/hr.

Go for the controllable one if you can afford. 6000,6100,6101 or 6105
