Impt update for those using prodibio pdts:

Pls do not assume that the vial will always make a clean break.

I step onto remnants of the broken vial today.

I think i did not make a clean break and a piece of glass shattered out.

thank goodness my girls did not step on it.

So please take special precaution.

honestly, i don't know why they have such design...

but would really be nice ... well i guess that's the concept for japanese, minimal and simple. maybe can still put up a pico tank ... hmm ... think think think .... :eyebrow:

if I have a pico, I will use D&D epoxy.

model a tree, then frag out star polyps or skin polyps and paste them on the tree branches.... will be nice with small fishes swimming round it :)

yup. well except for the detritus in the bare bottom. looks ugly. I think I will put a thin layer of grade 1 live sand.

But other than that, the water is very clear, glass free of algae.

I am amazed at the water clarity after my latest restart.

I guess the key to it is really frequent water changes (2x a week if possible).

I am even floating henry's food & tons of liquid food for my corals.

I have done away with phosphate removers and added more carbon instead.

Think if I am using clean water source, I should not need phospate removers.

I need to DIY a bracket to hold the customized filter sock and that should make my tank look even cleaner.

a lot of work yet to be done.

honestly, i don't know why they have such design...

I think they need to vaccum sealed it for the bacteria survival.

and having individual vials is better than one large bottle cause that will expose the remaining solution to air.

A lot of medication uses these sort of vials too to avoid contamination.

good concept, I like it but just have to be careful.

yeah the filter sock will sure help. if you can keep up with the 2x/wk then shoudl be ok. just not sure about not having phosphate removers though ... well you can still monitor closely if it's effective.

I am sewing the filter socks into probably 3 smaller pieces.

so should be able to maintain rather easily.
