jackywongto
That is actually a pretty small head and you fed quite a big piece of prawn? If that is so, it probably hasn't fully eaten the prawn yet. no I feed it a pretty small piece. no idea where did that come from. hey one more question: I was feeding the suns and out of nowhere, came 2 - 3 bugs (oval shape, black colour about 3mm long) and they tried to take the prawn away. ever happen to you before? Hope they are not flatworms... if possible take a photo to ID? anyway if you did proper acclimatization, I would assume the high fin died from the wild ph swing. If not, the ph swing would have exacerbated the process. I try not to do water change within 2-3 days of introducing new LS. Don't want to stress them too much. Even when water changing, need to check your new water to ensure parameters are about the same. Quote My old 3ft
jackywongto
!!! how come so fast up lorry From Henry's should be well acclimatized and feeding well right?hmmm cause of death? Hope you acclimatized them well. Pls share with us the cleaning of your tank walls, after you have recovered from your late night. Coz I am thinking of going acrylic for my next tank... Laptop have to consult my future CEO... she's the one tt has all the requirements... lol Yeah it should be rather healthy. i did acclimatize it. unless if it is a very very timid fish and I stress it to death during WC. unless if yours is a nano, anything bigger than 2 ft dun advise using acrylic. definitely not easy to maintain. why do you want acrylic? my case I am worried my girl will smash the glass when she swing things around. You can opt for high grade glass which gives the same clarity. Go check out ELOS tank. Glass tank can be as clear. just more expensive though. SRC Member comycus Posted November 24, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted November 24, 2009 btw, a ph swing of 0.2 within a day is considered the limit fishes and corals can tolerate. A ph swing of 0.4 like yours within 2-3hrs last night... can be disastrous. If your sps survived, should be lucky le. I'm not sps keeper, but I believe they are sensitive to ph swings too. Actually if you want pistol to park somewhere visible can force him to relocate and cut a small pipe and push into the sandbed for him to 'adopt' as his home. craftsman
Yes the ELOS is beautiful. +1 to that and the price!Yes he does, there are a couple more sand dollars. Just picked up 4 sand dollars from Henry, and a pair of Diamond Gobies. Also got to pay a visit to my Adorn Wrasse and pair of mandarins undergoing food training camp with Henry... Maybe next year end, if I am still crazy, might just get the Elos for my living room. ha ha ha ha ha ha....
