strangely food usually not sealed... additives are sealed though.

for kent marnie that is.

if the bottle is real low in volume u might suspect that, but when u buy and hold it.. if its real low, you should realize a weight difference

Brown SPS > Kinder Surprise

White SPS = Kinder Surprise after expiry date

Assumption killed the dinosaurs, they didnt have test kits.

No LFS will do that.

actually i encountered before..

but not sure if they really use it...

bought a bottle of iodine, unsealed, only 3/4 full...

but thank goodness the LFS changed it for me immediately even though i came back 1-2 days later..

Usually buy my additives from Clementi. Either C328 or Polyart. Never had problems with this although they are normally unsealed.

How do I know they never top up with water? it works when I use lor...

polyart is one place u can get all sorts of additives and brands...except zeovit...n if u need something urgently, this is like a 24hrs A&E...but some of their additives are rather old...so have to choose carefully...price wise, is rather cheap there...

most salt are. I am using Marine Environment.

how's marine environment? is the salt mix soluable? meaning very little residue left behind...i'm using reef crystals, but always have some residue left behind...i have used oceanic before...and i like it..but have not tried ME.

I agree, their additives can be rather old. Sometimes I see the bottle so dusty also dare not buy.

But then again, they actually do bring in new stock. Maybe my timing v. 'zun' but everytime I need to buy something from them, it's new stock. So I don't complain, especially since the price so competitive. :)

very soluble, yes.

but maybe suggest you try D&D next.

The mg & calcium level is very very high.

See LaW's post.

how come you have such a thought... lol

did not come across my mind...

i saw it at one LFS before, there's no seal and it's 3/4 compare to others...

thats why such a thought came through and it would be safer to buy those with seal (those originally without we've no choice )

hmm think all coral food from kent marine have no seal.

D&D salt is good! super fast dissolved

so far most fish magazines are freshwater focus...PFK at times will feature some marine stuffs..other than that...i will only buy PKF if there are interesting articles relating to reefing...
