Can.. But only in coldwater marine tank if I'm not mistaken... Just like the Market Prawn and most edible marine creatures... Coldwater marine Aquarium and not our normal Tropical ones....

I dunno anybody who keeps a coldwater tank in Singapore but I guess it'd be pretty cool....

Cockle needs fine mud and the other clam will be quite happy to burrow into coral chips.

It depends on how long you want to keep them. These are filter feeders like scallops. See the flame scallop thread.

Unless your tank is in the same condition as the sewers, they will not survive.

I have tried keeping mussels before in the attempt to experiment if they will absorb trace metals and toxins in the water.

Either it was very successful and they absorbed every toxin in the water and died or they starved to death.

aesthetically they are not appealing....keep it in the refugium? will it pollute the water?

what's the temp requirement to keep such clams & mussels :lol:
