Alfa. 110 Kg of LR? Enough meh?? I am already using 50kg for my 3footer and its only 2ft high and 1.5ft depth. Yours is a 280gallon tank (slightly less after minus thickness of glass) more then 4 times the volume of my leh. So 110kg of rockswont cover alot right. Plus 2.5 depth somemore.

But a great size. good depth can do lotsa rock placement. Regret my only 1.5 & not 2. Mine can only go for rock wall effect. :( But pity your back. Should be very Stiff when you finish putting yours rock. Unless you plan to climd in that is. :P:P

Dying to see your tank when it's finished. :yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

Tanggy, its ok for the back breaking part. my younger and more fit brothers will be helping me with that part.. i hope! hehe

hmmm so many ppl telling me that i do not have enuff rocks.. oh no... will shift in the already purchased rocks and see the effect. if looks very empty then will go down and buy more rocks i guess..

will give gilbert a heads-up to reserve his largest pieces :-)

alfa, u have to play safe. try not to minus all those rocks, etc.

try to have extra capacity and not being regret later. but most important now is palnning. I see u are too desperate and rushing without thinking of a better system, thats dangerous, bro. try to figure out ur sump first cuz thats the most critical part of the whole system.

Eh usually i will go with the least gallon it can skim. IMO huge euro- reef or h&S will be much better.. Trust me ;););)

Hmm...... 6x2.5x2.5 is a 280 us Gsllon tank arounf 1100+ ltrs.

asume got like 3inch sand, minus 1inch+for the glass, 90kg of live rock. Still got like around 230 Gallon of water according to the calculator in www.garf.org. wah that's a lot of water. The finish product will be like 1500-2000kg.

Alfa, glad to hear that you will have plenty of help. Can imagine if one person do will be very the shak. Sure ganna MC after that.:lol:

Get MC sit at home and look at finished product.:evil::evil:

Yeah, if everything goes well .. will time it for the weekend and will take 1-2 days leave to admire and finetune the landscaping etc etc.. the problem is that my contractors dunt even know when they can cleanup sufficiently for me to move in the tank etc etc...

first they say mid January but now i think the dateline is slipping to mid Feb after CNY....

thanks for the specs, bro.... but don't forget, your sump water volume must be included... also, as has been mentioned by our bros, its safer to compute it without deducting sand and lrs....

but IMO, think ev-240 is good enough....

cheers!
