general rule for sandbeds is not to touch or stir it too much..

a light stirring of the surface is fine. but dun dig and overturn too much of the sand. a gravel cleaner IMO, is a bad idea. but i know of some people who do it.

i see.. but i see my sand got fish poo.. wanted to get it out.. anyway ways to do it? or jus let it rot there

usually with good flow and good circulation, detritus will not accumulate so much on the sandbed. expect maybe in dead spots.

fish poo? marine fish poo are not like freshwater fish poo and don't appear in strands and drop on the sand bed. usually very fine powdered and will wash away with the current.

i have some lionfishes.. some of their poo is solid that sinks like freshwaters.

it gets abit heavy for my current to sweep it to the overflow.

i jus bought snails, forgotten the name. they dig the sand, saw them eat the poo too. haha

oh i see. never keep lion so dunno that they're poop sink

nassarius snails.
