yes, normally the tank is a tank initially before putting partition to make it a sump.

If you plan to build tank from sketches.. try this pdf.. forgot where I got.. My previous infos store in pm's all loss during forum upgrade...

For internal partition, always from left to right or vice versa and bottom to top.. I DIY my sump via this sequence..You can refer to YouTube posted by LAW.. Cheers
