Yeah.... its opened fully already last night when I return home, think the hermit must have scare the crab out of it. So happy to see it fully opened from outside my house I forgot to remove my shoes (kena suan by my daughter because I always whine when she took off her shoe in the house).... thumbsup.gif

A friend told me "Marine tank is not interesting in the things you can see in the day, but what you can see after the lights is off..."

So my wife and me went hunting the tank after our supper. Surprise to have found a tiny crab look alike being about 3mm size. Its seems to be like grabbing food from the water. so cutelaugh.gif

Saw a tiny white long (about 2mm) worm-look-a-light dancing to our LED torch. laugh.gif

Most interesting findings is we witness the stool leather coral feeding! Its simply amazing!!!! Manage to capture it down on iPhone video after we spent about 20 mins trying to get the best light angle. Need to find out how to post video here.... lol.... the super fine tentacles (correct word?) shoot up and down!!! So mystical! cool.gif

PS: I guess its nothing new to you guys, only fascinating to newbies like me..... biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Brown SPS > Kinder Surprise

White SPS = Kinder Surprise after expiry date

Just added another Tunze 6025 wave maker on the right side.

Aesthetically looks horrible with the extra wave maker and cable, but the flow has tremendously improved, which is more important. groupwavereversed.gif

Would have complete all the hardware I had planned for now.

It was only 3 days since I last clean my scrubber, today harvested even more brown algae. Motivation is I saw about 2mm (sq) speck of green algae groupwavereversed.gif....

Hope to see green pasture this weekend... keke...

Put some coral food (bottled micro algae? introduced by bro stevenkoh), some Iwarna Top Up (dunno how much to add.... just pour in about a cup...lol) and feed some henry's gourmet. Clown fish went crazy, even my newly acquired dart fish start eating after barely 15 minutes of introduction into my tank, good stuff.

Also bought another cleaner shrimp to pair up the existing one. But they don't seems to want to communicate, maybe language barrier... lol... SeaLife told me those cost a green note is from Indon, while his is from somewhere else (sorry, can't remember where :P), was rushing home to meet Bro MarineDreamer... Hope he enjoy his new toy :)

Spent about 2 hours acclimatise the new immates. Everything looks good today, except the orange leather still doesn't look like its growing very well.

The flow looks perfect after adding the second Tunze wavemaker :)

Bro sold me cheaply because he lost the rear magnet. He also gave me a free Tunze magnet cleaner (he was using the magnets to hold the wave maker). All for $45!

I found out that the extreme strong magnet extracted from my faulty harddisk was able to hold the WM. Now I got a free Tunze magnetic cleaner :D

Packing up for holidays! YEAH!

Did another round of cleaning on my scrubber. Manage to see some green turf despite mainly dominated by brown algae.

Took some pictures of the new members since last week.

4716757156_e7e33f30f1.jpg

Got a pair from SeaLife :)

4716756700_e686bcccd8.jpg

These zoos were given to me by Bro Kelvin in loose form. Glue them onto a live rock and it tripled in about 3 weeks.

4716114271_ebd123544e.jpg

This polyps are unknown to me. Got this from Ah Beng last weekend. They are electric green but nearly impossible to get out the colors.

4716757090_4713cb4508.jpg

These are definitely my favorite in my tank now. I guess they are mushroom? and they sway very nicely in the current.

Considering to frag them out on some empty rocks I have.

Please help me ID the last 2 pic if possible. Just want to google more about them and their fragging methods.

Thank you!

as long as you like the fish, to hell if it's common or not ;)

this is something i firmly believe in since day 1. although sometimes i tease my friends for liking ugly fish (IMO), what's nice to them may not be nice to me and it's perfectly fine. admire people that buy things based on their own likeness for it and not follow others and be a blind sheep.

don't need to be ashamed or feel embarrased if your fish is common! as long as you like it, that's what the hobby is about! haha.

The kH test did last night scored a 6 so I added a tea spoon of baking soda.

First time testing my Cal this morning using the newly bought Red Sea kit and it scored and astonishing 500.

pH was ranging from 8.3-8.6 during different hours using the pH monitor from bro stevenkoh's recent BO.

Is this bad?

I was using NSW and added RedSea Coral Pro salt to increase the salinity previously. Salinity is between 1.019-1.025 using 2 different hygrometer.

After the lights off for about 2 hrs, I went hunting again with my torch. I noticed many tiny white spots on the glass wall. They are so tiny I couldn't made up how they look like. Their actions are like "jumping" on the glass, swim out, swim back to the glass again..... jump around....

Are these pods?

Finally decided to give away the carpet anemone after my fire dartfish went missing. Been searching around my tank for since Thursday to confirmed that it did not jump out. Got a Bubble Coral and Torch Coral (I think) from Iwarna over the weekend. Also got a pair of Kaudern's Cardinal from Ah Beng.

LemonLemon,

Beng say Geo Hawk should be available on Friday :)

Then post a FTS lor! I can't even remember how your tank looks like, you only posted an empty tank on page 1, hahaha...

My 1.5ft nano cube

My 24G nano tank (Decommed)

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate.

And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
