The most important step that a lot of people forget to do. Protect your exposed wires and solder joints against corrosion from salt spray.

Conformal spray which coats your circuits with a insulating layer to prevent moisture attack. $15 for a can.

Well say. Most DIYers forget this very important step and the leds corroded in 3 to 6 months time. :welldone:

May I know where can I get the conformal spray? I didn't know such things exist and hence did not keep a look out for it when I was at SLT last week. Can I get it at SLT?

Yes, you can buy it at SLT. I bought my from the 1st floor, shop on the left when you enter the main entrance.

My electrical bill dropped from $160+ to $130+ per month. Around $30+ savings per month so far. Oct registered the first drop. Aug and Sep was still $160+ due to PUB estimation of bill. I'm going to monitor subsequent months... maybe higher due to haze and using aircon more this month.

Nice.

May I know the total price of the components?

All components purchased from Sherman?

As I have replied several forumners who PM'ed me. The cost is definitely higher or the same as the commercial LED lights now available. If you are not into DIY, then my advice is to buy commercial LED sets. Their prices have dropped dramatically compared to 2 yrs ago.

I think its about time for me to spray with the coating to keep them nice and dry. So far no issues with my LED lights without the coating, probably because they are well sealed.
