I paid extra for additional acrylic tubes which is about 40mm diameter IIRC. Bro steven had problem as the water outflow was too slow and it flooded the box after sometime of running. So he sent back to maker for alteration which was chargeable. Don't understand IMHO, the bigger the better. He requested for 20mm IIRC... so he need to send it for rework. SRC Member fatbike Posted September 13, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted September 13, 2010 ya, tink bigger better , so izit gonna b done straght or gotta redo size again?
enseng
ya, tink bigger better , so izit gonna b done straght or gotta redo size again? I think what bro steven trying to say is his outflow hole's diameter is initially 30mm....then he reliase that the hole is too small which water is accumalated in the acrylic scrubber... He then paid to rework the hole to be 50mm...so he is now suggesting reefers who intend to order Algae scrubber to build a bigger outflow hole.. I also had mine modified from 30mm to 50mm...the return flow is really strong (consider SM recommended 3000L/H pump) that it will generate microbubble in the tank.... angel fish
BO Confirmed list Eniram 2ft Angel fish 2ft but with 50mm dia. outlet hole as 24 inches wide scrubber calculated must use 3,192ltrs/hr pump capacity. fatbike 1ft (KK 1ft should be the ideal screen size to meet your 2ft cube requirements) Weesy74 snowy85 cheers
Fishyfish
Hi Guys, I want a unit. If my sump is 2 ft wide, does it mean I need a 2 ft scrubber? Its meant for installation over the sump right? Do I have to supply any parts? I would like to buy a fully functional unit i.e just plug and play. It would be great if someone could give me the contact of any bro who has one in operation so I can view to make sure I order the correct size? I don't want to have to make repeated modifications after I get the unit. My sump is 2 ft by 4ft. Hope I'm not too late for the BO. Mike 97970269 Mike if you want to see one that is running you'll have to ask bro Goondoo or Bro Stevenkoh. Your sump size i believe its 4ft length and 2ft wide? 2ft scubber is the ideal size that was designed by Santa Monica () if you want it bigger it's still feasible but you'll have to consider the pump size, lights and screen size. In this thread there are many DIY scrubber but with this design its enclosed therefore it looks neater. You'll need to supply your own pipes, screen, lights and pump. Nope you're not too late for BO. So far we're still gathering orders for BO
