SRC Member kksg2000 Posted March 4, 2011 SRC Member Share Posted March 4, 2011 Hi Bros, Can i use an internal filter e.g. eheim in my reef tank as a temporary measure hoping to remove the white particles which look like dust circulating in my tank? I did serveral water changes over the last few days, but they did not seem to help. I powered down my tank for a couple of minutes, the white particles (dust) did not settle down, so i confirmed they are not micro bubbles from leaking from my powerheads or skimmer. Calcium about 420+ Dkh 8 Salinity 1.026 PH 8.0 Phosphate ? run out of test kit... should be high..i have GHA in the tank .. using IOS, no Sump thank you. SRC Member BFG Posted March 5, 2011 SRC Member Share Posted March 5, 2011 You need to have something in the canister filter to trap the fine particle. Maybe use multiple layer of filter wool might just do the trick.
