Need some algae buster for my frag tank... The hair algae is driving me crazy.

AM got really cute 1 inch short spine urchins (including spines)... i was so tempted to buy... they can really reach hard to reach corners with their size..

I never really notice leh... LOL... I see later...

as of tonight the skimmate looks usual to me.. there is no reading on the packet tht says the pellets need to be tumbling inside the FR..

but i saw alot frm u-tube was tumbling abit..

my beads was somehow more stagnant but the flow is ok... packet mention flow not necessary be before skimmer..

but i hv 50% flow to tank and the other to skimmer..

Yea true they are prone to be sucked into wave makers. Mine just went kamikaze! But aren't those urchins poisonous? why don't you try the tuxedo urchins which are smaller and slightly more colourful?

its difficult to find small tuxedo urchins in the market..

when compare long spine urchine are more hard core in cleaning.. but if u mixed both long spine n tuxedo together u cannot really tell..

long spine are also more hardy with parameters flunctations.. i havent been poked before but u can generally pull them out with some resistance..

it will be the best algae buster if they did not bump over all the corals..

Did you feed directly? or wash the cube with water prior to feeding?

the rots get suspend on the water surface and sink over time..

but if your tank water surface water is very high flow prob all will hv gone into the skimmer..

i mixed with water in a cap before pouring in...

*i thought DHA content is for baby milk lolx.. even the rots hv this.. *

hmmm, if i were to use, i will pour right in the wavebox. Like how i usually feed coral food!

This way, it shouldnt get drained so easily into the sump.

But will the process of washing the ROT same as mysis?
