In my own opinion, based on your sump layout, you should;

1. get rid of the Coral Chips and Bio Balls (Do it bit by bit and not all at 1 shot, otherwise might experience sudden drop in bacteria count)

2. I believe you can put in carbon (to be change monthly - as an average) and phosphate remover (to be changed when you notice increase in algae growth)

As for chaeto, do note that they require both good flow and light.

Just my 2 cents, cheers...!

Hmm.. As for the replacement for the coral chips and bioballs.

U can consider MarinePure Cermedia cubes, BioHome or BacteriaKing. All these can be used for as long as u want without needin to be replaced.

Biopellets XL is also another good option. Unlike the normal biopellets, they dun need to be placed in a reactor to have the same benefits. The downside though is that u need to replace it after some time.

AC is Activated Carbon - Removes toxins, medication, organic crap not removed by skimmer

GFO is Granular Ferric Oxide - removes phosphates. Popular alternatives are Rowaphos & PhosBan.

I think turtle meant that the filter wool should just be placed in the left most compartment where dirty water from the tank flows in.

Your 2nd & 3rd compartment is where you place the bio media. Probably no need for filter wool there.
