Thinking of getting a clam..is it necessary to feed a small clam

they dont eat prawn meat. u can feed them small sized food like marine snow and phytofeast.

Clams get most of their food requirements through photosynthesis. In fact, they need relatively high lighting.

They will get by without any target feeding. They'll do fine with the food (as mentioned above - marine snow, phytofeast....) you feed to your other SPS/LPS that's left in the water & pick them up as water filters through them.

Large clam eat light, smaller clam (less than one inch) need help from food tho.
