Hobbes, what is the limit to a nano tank size?

1 more thing to add. Big dog may bark louder but those small dog bark is irritating if it is not stopped. Previously before the lift upgrading project on my block of flat, I had to walk to the 10th flr as that is where the lift stopped. I always have to pass this house which has 2 small dog. Sometimes the dog might bark when it sense someone approach. I can live with that but not the others. There was an elderly couple who had to travel in the same path. Sometimes they got shock and frightened by the sudden barking. What if suddenly they have a fatal heart attack caused by the shock that the dog barking create? The owner can silenced the dog by sending it to the vet to remove their vocal cord but truthfully, I really feel that it is wrong to do that even though I am not a dog lover. When I see a dog liked that, it feel unnatural to me. I will see the owner in a different perspective. This is where the knowledgeable pet owner should be aware of. If they were to get a pet dog, they should be aware of their character.

Let me chip in my 2 cts. For the 10kg dog for a HDB house. I think it is because the authorities knew that because of the small space, you should keep a smaller species dog, just like reefing. You won't want to keep a juvenile French angel in a 2ft tank right? It will outgrow and need a bigger tank. But my main concern about pet dog and cat is the way they are being transported out of this country by their owner. I really hate it when I see the owner sending their pet to export them to the destination they are going to in a small cage or container. The dog/cat can barely stand in that container and sometimes could not turn around at all, just to save some money to spend on a bigger cage or container. I really think it is really stupid on the part of the animal owner. Sometimes I overheard them talking to my colleague that their pet is like family to them but seeing the small cage/container that they are placed in, I really wonder. I might give them a piece of my mind but my job is very dear to me. I can tell you that mostly dog that won't survive the trip as they get very stressed in that situation. You can see them start to shiver even before loading onto the aircraft.

Try living with it daily happening on the home line. My parent ended up getting Caller ID. Anyone calling from public phone will not be answered at all, no matter what. It is happening daily.

There was a nano tank that was posted here before. Was it Naxo or Moxa or something similar? That's was an awesome tank imho.

Elimmel, I decided to set up a 3ft instead. Still planning but got most of the stuff already. I did not register at nanoreef. Let's 1st decide on the water volume. Then we can go out and recce the lfs on what is the nicest tankset available. Maybe find the distributor eg Jebo or JBJ or whatever there is selling at the lfs. From there, we could split into 2 category-Stock or Open. Stock-For those who have a tight budget, can take part in this category. This will keep spending on equipment down to the minimum. Open-This category has no limit. Participant can purchase and install multiple items like Ice Probe, mh light or anything else that can be used to operate the tankset more efficiently. Established reefer ( those who already had a system running ) are at an advantage in this competition. They would save money on corals as they already has a supply from their main tank. However, aquascaping aesthetic is where the difference between them lies. Sure it is easy to put corals together ( just a figure of speech ) but to actually see something that is pleasing with the 'wow' factor is the main target of this competition. We can have a yearly competition here in SG and SRC may be the platform where the nano hobby may leap off from. If countries like Japan that came out with the Zen concept, Dutch with their Dutch Aquascaping in planted tank, why not Singapore which is essentially a small island be famous with the Nano concept reefing? We can create a buzz in this little island of ours and touch many hobbyist around the world!

Maybe, instead of using newbie and experience category, you could replace it with stock or modified tank set like what nano-reef was doing. 1st, need to standardise the equipment like tank. Nano-Reef uses Nano cube made by JBJ. There is the 6 gallon, 12 gallon and 24 gallon tankset. All we need to do 1st is to choose which model to be used in the competition. Once we have chosen the size of the tank, then we categorise it as stock or modified tank. Those who do not want to spend too much can go for the stock category while the others can go for the modified ones where anything goes. For sponsorship, maybe someone can talk to JBJ distributor here in SG to offer discount for the tankset. The people competing in this competition would have to keep the tankset for awhile. Or maybe provide the prize for the winner of the 2 category. To prevent cheating, we could use next year tankset model from JBJ( if it is agreeable). From reading some thread in Nano-Reef, those tankset have different improvement done every year.

Maybe the thief act on his greed to keep all of the seahorse, thinking that he have at least a few pair and breed them in the future. With the large number he has, the few that didn't make it might not really concern him coz he got it foc. But if the thief has no experience caring for the seahorse, then all are doom to die.

I don't know anything about that motherboard. But I was told from my friend who did my setup is that LGA based motherboard runs hot. Placing the casing in the open helps to ventilate the heat away so do not place your pc casing in a small area which has little air movement. Just treat it like a chiller.

This light source illuminate the internal of the casing. Review- I like my setup and it is mainly used for gaming. Current games being played is online based BattleField 2. My only gripe for this setup is that the LGA based motherboard runs hot. That's why I upgrade the processor fan from stock fan to the Cooler Master ones. It's a bit noisy with the fan on but I can tolerate the noise.It does feel warm on the top of the casing but if I am worried about heat, I just pop-off the casing side window which is attached with 2 thumbscrew. Also I switch on the air-con while surfing or playing games but usually do it at night. In the day, I just switch on my bedroom fan. Price is about your budget. Oh, I didn't built it but a work colleague assembled it for me for just $50, not including his taxi fare. This setup was bought and setup on March this year.

Spiderone, the Frogman series with Titanium is for you. Not the latest model though but the ones from the 90's. I got 1 and it's big. The latest ones they have are all small watches, too small for my wrist.
