  3. got a blue hermit... quite peaceful and not picky at food..... wanna give up both blue hermit and boxer... if you are interested you may get them from me for $5/-? they are ok with cleaner shrimps.
  4. got lady boss ah??? heheheeh..never seen before... maybe should take a peep.....
  5. anything in particular can lead those hairy little ones out from their hiding place? spotted one in my tank before...now dunoe where it has gone to.... hahahaha

  7. woo...www.... really good and detailed info..thanks thanks
  8. will share with you what i did... i have some frozen seafood blended. will run it under water to thaw it and den throw small pieces, each about 0.5cm by 0.5cm right above the anemone. if my fish dun catch it den it would fall nicely onto the tenacles of the anemone...once it touches the tenacles would grab it with its sticky tips and gradually pass it to the mouth right in the centre....
  9. hello...... read that we can feed the anemone with a shrimp every few days.... can we possibly overfeed an anemone den???? currently i am feeding it with shrimp blended with mussels... any idea if this is okay??
  10. hi.... wish to swop blue hermit/coral banded shrimp for fire shrimp... anyone interested? or anyone has any to give away??
  11. i agree.... lol... my tubeworm not only has left its casing, the head and the body disintergrated but both parts still wriggling.......kekekekeke....
  12. you may wish to try this... if there are not many livestocks in your tank currently, change 40-50% of your existing water with saltmix water...if not, put them into the quarantine tanks or "long bang" your friends' tanks for the time being... observe the remaining livestock carefully daily... if no more deaths, in a week's time change 20% of the tank water as per normal. rem to keep your skimmer on and do your water tests!!!!!
  13. perhaps it's not such a bad idea to alternate between self-mixed water and sea water??? at least salt mix is free from pollution whereas we dunoe what's in the sea water...eh???????????????
  14. understand what you r trying to relate, however, please note that what is in the textbooks generally describe the general things. there are DEFINTELY other ways of which that a competitive LFS can thrive and survive other than raising the prices and bluffing the ignorant. A few of the examples of ways they can make money include:- i) providing high level of quality customer services, e.g. giving adequate and sound advices especially to newbies, friendly services, willing to order w/out additional charges, free delivery.... ii) easing inconveniences such as having late working hours to cater to those who are working overtime, intentionally open longer hours than usual to wait for regular customer.. iii) giving discounts to regulars and bulk discounts to newbies... iv) personally assisting to set up the tank and teaching people the right way to handle the livestocks, especially the rare ones.... etc etc etc.... the list may go on. LFS can get creative in retaining customers' loyalty in many many ways but this might not generate much revenue in short run. however in long run, by word of mouth (and via forums as such), the shop gets accredited and customers would flow in.... in a nutshell, business should have CUSTOMERS' NEEDS in mind.....
  15. have always tot that anything less than 30gallons is considered a nano tank but there are those who dun concur.... if i were not to use my fan, the water temp is usually between 29-31degree celsius. to use fan or not would likely to depend on your livestocks you want in your tank lor... but most people would strongly suggest keeping the temp constant between 26-28deg and you are likely to need a fan or a chiller to acheive that (unless you have the tank in an aircon room and have constant gusts of wind blowing at that the tank..... ).
  16. interesting! you adding on the live rocks as well right???? do let us have a look at your tankful of worms when you are done....!
  17. okayz....... you are welcomed to post the pictures for your tanks with length less than 3"!!!!!!!!!!! (regardless of the gallons in your tank )
  18. spider bro, below 30g considered nano ma...
