Hi there, any expert in wrasse fish, I saw this leopard wrasse at the lfs and is now tempted to buy it. Any one have any experience in the fish. Seen like very timid, always hidding in the sand. What does it feed on? I research liao seems like it need pods as food, similar to mandrain fish.

Hi, I have a ich problem on my yellow box fish. Tried freshwater dip last night, end up today worst, more spots. may want to try copper treatment but have not setup my quarantine tank. Read above the hypo treatment, but i am afraid the fish cannot take it and die and poison my whole tank. This few days it is not feeding so garlic method may be abit hard. I was thinking, does the cleaner shrimp help to remove such ich?

Hi, I have no idea what your mandrin is suffering from, but maybe u want to put them in quarantine tank, the slimy residue from a dead mandrin can be poisonous to other LS in the tank.

well, there is blk 328 of clementi, 2 equipment shop and one lfs, 5 mins from clementi mrt or jireh, about 15 mins from clementi station. Aquamarin has another outlet in tanjong katong also

Hi, I keep Mandrin fish also, Like what Thexder said, i have keep chaeto also, to feed the fish, i just pick up a handful of the chaeto and shake the pods out of them. Looking for other forms of consistent food for Mandrin also.

Hi Redspring You meant u have a yellow tang? that i am not very sure what plant it will not eat. But you cant keep red bamboo or red grape for sure as yellow tang will eat them. I never keep tang before so I am not sure about their diet. I think tang do not eat turtle weed but you may want to confirm it with the seniors in this forum. You heard of Chaeto? if like ball of green fishing line, good for keep nitrate down, grow quite fast and is food for some fish. I use it to remove nitrates from my tank. Not nice looking but helps to maintain tank.

Hi xnsdvd, I do not really know the cause of plants going asexual, but i know that the after effect is quite bad, the plant will turn yellow and then wither. The nitrate level will go up because the plant are rotting.

Hi Redspring I keep abit of marine plants, generally i think u need enough lighting, must find a plant that your LS will not eat, iron or calcium additive to keep the plant healthy. Beware of plants that will go asexual which will upset your tank water parameter.

Hi Raylinea, from the pic, you seem to be using under gravel filter for filtration, is it? I think thats y your effective depth of water is affected. Till now, i myself have no use under gravel filter but seem like it is mostly used for freshwater.

Hi Chai111, Maybe you want to buy Live rock that are cured, if not cured them in a separate tank. Try not to wash LR with tap water, bcos it is turn into dead rock liao. It will defeat the purpose of buy live rock then.
