  1. Wahh ... like that I really kok-eye lor!
  2. Ehhh? I don't remember seeing another piece of the Tubbs Blue at Kim Sotong that day leh ... I only remember spotting 1 piece, and it ended up in the long-sleeved shirted man's (aka Craftsman) plastic bag a minute later! Peter, did you come in before Craftsman? If after I really ######-eye to have missed the other piece lor
  3. Arghhhh that's the piece isn't it? Frag one of the blue ones for me next time leh!
  4. Dude, post pictures of the gems you got from GO leh ...
  5. Me? No way lor. I only got what I originally aimed for - a Red Gonio. That's all. The hallmark of a tycoon is when you're able to just pop down to any LFS on shipment day, and point to a few expensive Aussie corals or rare LS without hesitation and complete your shopping under 6 minutes. Haha. Ok enough of the liao later kena scolded by Admins.
  6. Oh! So you're Craftsman! The one with the nice tank in the balcony of your masionette right? Heheh I noticed you parking behind me and as a result, one step ahead of me because you were nearer to the entrance of GO ... Nice corals you picked, for a moment I thought you were gonna pick the Red Gonio I wanted when we were next to each other. Ok enough of the ... Say hi when we bump into each other next time! I see ... thanks for the explanation!
  7. Should be between 8 to 10 red notes depending on size and type I suppose.
  8. Allow me to quote Shan from GO - Heheheheh
  9. Yes. Nah I was there closer to 7pm. They were in the midst of unpacking the goodies at that point in time, but I dare say at least 3/4 of the corals were already unpacked and placed in the displays by then. And yes I was one of them who managed to get 1 out of the 4 Red Gonios before they were snapped up by the uncles haha. Heng ah. Mine was the piece with subtle blue tips on the tentacles. Lovely! Was aiming for a Red Gonio for a while already ... True. Hobbyists like us often have to compete with foreign reefers, rich towkay uncle types as well as other LFSes / farms on shipment day. So have to move fast and move early! Haha Heard from Iwarna auntie once that a LFS staff came by to take 100 Hawaiian YTs the moment they unpacked. But I've never seen the fabled Thai reefers before leh, are they PRs here or working professionals in Sg? Well, most of the good and rarer stuff were gone by the time I left at 7.30pm. I believe the Red Gonios were all snapped up by Mr Richard Woon, another reefer and myself. But there were still very nicely multi-colored Blastos, Brains and Pratas, and Acans remaining when I left. The nice deep blue Zoas I was also considering were snapped up in my moment of deliberation heheh so ... Should still have a few good stuff left. Good shipment, this.
  10. Good shipment of corals over at GO earlier this evening. Good thing I was around the area earlier and I arrived just as they were unpacking the beauties from the shipping boxes. Mesmerized by the dazzling assortment of colors on the pratas, blastos, acans, brains, zoas and gonios. Step in a little later and you'd missed major eye candy, as those of us who were there in the early evening can testify. Good stuff!! And oh by the way, I didn't know that the former Tiong Bahru CSC / Tanjong Pagar United (for those of you old enough to remember in the early 90s) chariman Richard Woon was a reefer himself! No wonder I found the chap taking 2 of the 4 red gonios available (along with some other SPSes) very familiar - his name only came to me when I was driving home ... hahahaha
  11. Yup, you read that right. Actually ... more like 16 blue notes and up.
  12. I remember seeing quite a lot of pink and red or orange scleronephthya over at Ah Beng's last week when I was there to look for my betta box. Tankful of them on the upper tier. Should still have unless exported out. Hope you find what you want!
  13. Not the AquaPharm Quick Dip series. I don't think this Formalin med is listed on their website. They are in small light yellow/green bottles at the side of the shelves on the bottom nearer to the cashier. I don't remember the brand name but I know the medication contains Formalin. Either that or you can check with the staff.
  14. Saw some small bottles at AM last week. Can give it a go.
  15. Yeah they're pretty aren't they? I'm also trying my best not to think about them - not reef safe apparently. There's one in Iwarna's display tank. She's a beauty! Auntie tells me Lemonpeels only come in during Caribbean / Fiji shipments. Same thing when I asked over at CF. Anyway they'll keep me informed if any comes in during these shipments - I can PM you when I receive their notification? PS: Nice nick! "Curahee! We stand alone ..." You Band of Brothers fan?
  16. Happened to be running some errands during lunchtime near AM so popped in to check out their Bali shipment: Nicely colored Purple-Orange Anthias Tankful of False Clowns Tankful of Firefishes Tankful Diamond Watchman Gobies Yellow Angels, Flagfin Angels (why have I been seeing so many of them lately?) Tankful of some hugeass Cardinals (can't ID them) Only 2 tanks caught my eye: Beautiful! First time I'm seeing Rocket Gobies. What's the scientific name for them?
  17. I wouldn't. Remember that it wasn't just a bloom, it was an overbloom, that's why the fishes all died, starved of oxygen from the competing plankton.
  18. Happy New Year! Nothing better to do this afternoon so dragged my non-reefer friends to LFSes up north. Over at CF, spotted: Plentiful mini Blue Tangs Loads of Yellow Tangs, different sizes Loads of Flame & BiColor Angels Nicely small sized juvenile Kole Yellow Eyed Tangs in the back row Naso Tangs Small sized Purple Tangs Orange Shoulder Tangs: A very healthy-looking and fast Achilles Tang (about 3") for over 4 blue notes: Purple Queen Anthias: Dispar Anthias: 2 Beautiful Hawaiian Red Flame Wrasses in the front with the expensive corals, but one damn shy - about 5 blue notes What I think are Radiant Wrasses in front as well Red Headed Wrasse: What I think are Pink-Streaked Wrasses, are they? Correct me if I'm wrong, still learning how to ID correctly. Anyone? A tankful of Sleeper Goldhead Gobies Snow White Coral Banded Shrimps with Snow White pincers instead of the usual banded ones (either that or my eyes were playing tricks on me) It started to pour by the time I reached LCK201, so spent some time in there waiting for the rain to stop. Spotted: Tankful of YTs (prob from the last shipment?) Nice healthy medium sized pellet-feeding ATs. This chap next to me bought one without hesitation - good specimen bro! Beautiful, alert and feeding well. Some very beautiful dark-colored Tangs with electric blue borders on their fins (don't know what they are but they are chio!) Did I also see some Clarion Tangs in the QT area? Should be ... damn chio also lor! What I think are 2 Xmas Wrasses in the blue tub behind, correct me if I'm wrong. Some RGs left. Loads of Peppermint Shrimps A True Perc pair, a nice healthy looking super long-finned Moorish Idol, a super quick AT and the reclusive Gem Tang in the Corals tank. Probably taken out from the display tank that is now empty. Waiting for buyer pickup perhaps? Nice eye candy. Satisfied with my 'window-shopping' today, and pleased to have walked out of these 2 places without an inflated plastic bag or two hahahah.
  19. Once again, lovely couple tank! Can't wait to see it filled with LS ... Don't cover the cycling prawns with the sand, you'll have a hard time retrieving them when they start to 'nua' into mush. Try to transfer them into a filter bag for easy retrieval later.
  20. I can imagine your new FTS now ... One word - NICE!
  21. Got the Betta Box in the size that I wanted over at Ah Beng's during lunchtime today. Thanks guys! Thread Closed.
  22. Was at Iwarna during lunchtime to look at their Betta Boxes but didn't see any shipments leh. Mostly empty - probably waiting for their shipment at that point in time. Found the right sized Betta Box over at Ah Beng's (it's called Pacific Reef isn't it?), and just so happened that their Philippines shipment came in when I was just about to leave. Spotted: Sunburst Anthias (for close to 3 red notes each) Coralbeauties Half Black Angels (with orange eyes) Yellow Angels Flame Angels Flagfin Angels Naso Tangs Powderbrown Tangs YTs, BTs Kole Yellow Eye Tangs Maroon Clowns Some nice Gobies in a tank prob not from this PH shipment: Diamond Watchman Gobies Sleeper Gold Head Gobies Sleeper Blue Dot Gobies Most of their nicely-priced Fairy Wrasses already snapped up from the last time I was over there, left with only the Greens and Six-Lines for now.
  23. Pun = play on words In this context it was Desideria saying "eggcited!!!", a play on the word "excited" and "egg" coz an egg crate was used to support the rockscape. Ok, end of English 101.
