  1. I have some pulsing xenia for sale. pm me.
  2. RO water is bad for health cos it drains the minerals from the body.
  3. NoPox from Red Sea is a very effective and scientific way to dose carbon in my opinion. It is backed up by science and quantity can be controlled by a dosing pump vs just a reactor for nitrate or phosphate. Good thing it removes both nitrate and phosphate and these can drop very quickly with consistent nopox dosing.
  4. This is common. Give it some time and it will go away when the silicates from your new glass is depleted by the diatoms. If you want faster results, get some turbo snails to clean it.
  5. Yes. More flow is needed. You can do a DIY container that has more holes to let more water flow though.
  6. Algae during tank cycling is very normal. Just need some patience. It will go away.
  7. Good to hear that. Hair algae will go away if nitrates and phosphates are low, and given time to wither away.
  8. If you have extra equipment, set up a quarantine tank and move it there. Reduce flow, light and feed it a small piece of shrimp to see if it is feeding.
  9. Although GSP does not need feeding, they can be sensitive to light, flow and water parameters. Make sure the water parameters are stable, then start with a small frag. If the GSP on the frag is spreading, you can stick a small piece to the back of the tank. If not, adjust your parameters until you see the frag is spreading first.
  10. I have kept anemones for 2 years. It has doubled in size and has even split into 2 pieces. The trick is not to subject it to high flow or direct current. When initially placing it, give it low light to acclimatize. Then feed it a piece of small shrimp. If it is eating, it shows it is fine. I find that if I keep feeding it at a spot, and the flow is fine, it is unlikely to move. Mine has stayed at the same spot for 2 years.
  11. Irwana has it. I just bought some. If u want, u can pm me. I have some xenia available.
  12. Yes I bought the pulsing xenia and they are doing fine and spreading. But do keep them separately from the other rocks, because they can spread like crazy and quickly become a pest, after which it is very difficult to remove.
  13. Some people put in pvc pipes for fish to hide.
