Are these jebao wavemakers you’re referring to? I agree, their pumps are really good at pushing a lot of water. i’m still using a RW-20(one of the much older models) and it hasn’t failed me yet. The main downside is it’s definitely much noisier than other pumps, at least ime. i used to have 2 rw-8s running at max speed which was a better option for creating more turbulence, but their controllers didn’t survive till today so i’ve replaced them with a maxspect gyre instead and cranked the rw-20 to near-max speed.

Yes, Jebao ones. Just trying the WiFi models for the first time. So far so good.

Added another wavemaker and remove both my OW50 series as they are too bulky and not aesthetically pleasing. However they are real workhorse beasts!!  This time around I added a SLW-30M instead as the SLW-20M seem kinda weak for its rating. Part of my plan to upgrade and improve the flow in my tank and reduce deadspots.

  4. Took some shots earlier with my camera phone. Color and health of sps improved nearly a month after the purge in the tank aefw treatment.

Added in a single tube fixture of T5HO. Brand is Helios, made in China and also ordered through Ezbuy. Let’s see if it’s help to reduce dark spots, shimmer and help to brighten up the corals on the back of my tank.

No, I am not sure it is safe to siphon it now. Tonight is day 8 and I just started culture rotifers today. The person provided the rotifers to me told me to use torch light to lure them to a corner then siphon out when they turn to fry.

Guess it’s gonna be a long nite for u. Gd luck with the fries.

  7. Taking some free time today to hook up the new jebao slw-20m. This version comes with WiFi controllable app. Not too bad quality for that price I’m paying.DBCE0E0E-C2D3-42AE-ADFD-A68874A421F0.thumb.jpeg.d1b51e92f66500b179cfe85bd06aa212.jpegAdjustable rubber adaptor for the magnet for angle tilting of ur wavemaker.

Only has the WiFi controller and that’s it. Don’t even have the power adaptor. Save space imo.
