Dun scrap off also can. Use can just use live rocks and chaetos.
I dun like sand as its messy.
How do u place/contain/tied the chaeto without it being blown away?
Cos right now i'm tying it to acrylic sheet using fishing string & use a small LR as counter weight on it.
Maybe my flow in my sump a bit too strong.

ok. will get those betta tank and stick on my sump.
Just wondering if the refugium glass surface started to grow coraline algae & other algaes, need to scrap off? cos i saw some ppl's refugium tank glass surface is quite clean. Afraid it will kill some of the pods if i scrap it off.
Hope somebody can give me advice on this.

aah thanks.... mimic nature seems to be a very adaptable word to use in this hobby...
If u on your lights more than 12 hrs, it will encourage the growth of nuisance algae.

Ok, thks.

Should be more then enough. Almost zero maintenace except to ensure the calcium mix is here for dosing.
Most bro mix and store in jelly can of different size
Ok, cos I thought the liquid is quite ex. Maybe I try the powder one in future. How's the 2- part solution, heard its quite effective, ca & KH.

going for $320
pls pm to deal
thks
Still available?

You dunno what I have underneath the sandbed...
-
Or you can consider dosing pump. I found it easier compair to Ca reactor. If you use 3 channel, then you can control Ca, Kh and Kh individual.
Is dosing pump good enough for sps? Cos afraid it might consume a lot of calcium & then u need to top up often.
Calcium liquid also costly if u have to top up often.

There is also white spot found. Also blood wound on the died fish. How do I know it is parasite or fungi or bacterial infection? Thought of using paraguard to the main tank
Looks like ich. Parasite.
-
Stop adding any fish at the moment for at least 4 week once the ich cycle is over.
You might also want to consider saving money to buy better equipment before stocking again , if not similar problem like your chiller pump might arise again, and you may ended up buying more live stock again. Happy reefing..
Thanks for the advice. Not gonna get anymore fish in the coming mths til everything is ok again.

Hi bro, i bought a 4-tube T5 set(24w 12,000K x 4) for my 2ft tank. Is that sufficient?
How many of the white tubes should I convert to Actinic? And which type/brand of Actinic do you recommend?
Kamsiah.
Usually depends on what corals u keeping. If keeping sps, u shd double ur lights. For lps, it shd be good enough. 2 to 4 actinic if u want to bring out the colors of ur corals.

Ya. Jia lar.

Huh??
Never mind, juz laughing at the brand ecosmart.

Haha no la, going to do something more simple, there is actually gap behind the glass the bottom cabinet so I will get a piece of arylic and paste the background on it. This way I can keep changing the wall paper, left and right also can be different. =p
Dun mind pm me the price of the tank setup as well. Thank you.

Couldn't find it in my tank nowadays. Dunno where it go.

Pls help now everyday I got fish die. Not sure why but can see some fin rot. All coral doing very well including leather, zoos, bubble, anemone. Had carbon, skimmer, uv, chaeto, np pellet, rowaphus. Tested high NO3 on Sunday but already change 20% of water
Do a 50% water change. Quarantine the affected fishes if possible. Could be bacterial Infection spreading.
Starting a mini refugium

I have filter comb installed but bits & pieces of it still able to flow thru it. Thinking of putting in mineral mud & a thin layer of live sand on top as substrate for refugium. Wondering if that would help?
