I believe they can whereas crabs can only grab those fishes that sleep between rocks gap. like Blue tang etc...So far my 2 clown fish still around. As they hover mid water when sleeping. Touch wood...

No....that why I have no clue. Even my 4inch Clam was tear apart left only on side which I believe will not survive as well. I did a fresh water dip for everything in the tank to get rid of all the hitchhikers. but like I mentioned only a few miserable small hairy crab which is less than 1/2 inches. My Flame is 2.5 inch and I don't think the small crab are the culprit. No remain nothing at all when I take down my whole tank. Septicle to buy any more fish....Sian. Anyway, thanks for all the advise.

Hi snr, Anyone can advise why healthy fish missing one after another, I suspected Crabs and started to trap them. So far caught a few small hairy crab not bigger than 1/2 inch. However still have fish missing. First is my 1" Blue Tang, Next was my 2" Flame Angel. And another 3 smaller fishes. All eating and very healthy fishes. No trace of their remain etc....I suspect some BIG hitchhiker Yesterday, I took out every pcs of LF and dip into Fresh Water, again manage to catch 3 small hairy crab. I hope that the end of my era. Pray hard.... Or anyone have similar experience and can share your removal method....thks regards TonyL

Ahh...I never check as I assume they suppose to be replacement water as the LFS sell them. Mmmm better check also...thks for the advise.

If you don't mind branded. I recently bought New Boyu brand from Ah Beng LFS.at $30 plus and a pump for $12. My biopellet is running effectively for my 3ft tank.

Are you only looking for above specific brand?

Super lucky reefer who can own 2 tank side by side. Probably can use as Quarantine tank also....

Hi Sir, This morning the water resume back to clear stage, however, the nitrates is still at 50mg/l. Is this the right sympton. Or I still need few days to check nitrates? Appreciate those who have pass experience to share....thks regards

My DIY setup as exactly copy from the above and the Tap water will run thru the ION exchange than follow into the Activated carbon. So it is like 2 stage purifying. However, the question here is which stage to run first. Madpet advise was to run Carbon before the ION. But I did the reverse and the results still measuring as zero. Hopefully, I am doing the right way...thks
