  1. ...and lunches and dinners as well!
  2. With the advent of technology...anything is possible! Amazing!
  3. Had always loved the sea and marine life since I was young. Was always elated going to the Van-Cleef Aquarium back then. Then got caught up in sport, bikes, cars and thrill seeking. Finally toned down.
  4. Hi! Bought your skimmer already? From where? Good idea to stop and think over everything. Headache most of the time man! I've thought over and changed my ideas and placement of equipment a few times over already...and I haven;t even set up my tank yet! Better to think over everything first. Take your time. Cheers! BTW, if any plans to go around Punggol area, give me a buzz. Will be overseeing renos.
  5. I see...Thanks Woonming...and how about sps like acros..or particularly, acro colonies which are bigger than frags? Would it help to superglue first to create an instant bond then epoxy over to fill in the base? Cheers!
  6. Truly awesome, scarab! Linkin Park tells me that your tank's really beautiful and filled with fantastic colours!
  7. Maybe this will be helpful. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28414
  8. Well, can I then use super glue gel to hold the frag in place first and then epoxy over the base?
  9. NSW? Anyway, good to know you're alright now, BH. So, any decision on your lighting upgrade? When you gonna set up?
  10. Haven't dived anywhere outside of Malaysia yet. My soon-to-be wife has 5yrs of diving experience over me...already master diver and been to Manado, Bali, Phuket...etc. Just got the flat this year and started renos and new tank project so no more $ to go diving! How much did your trip cost? Thinking of going if $ allows.
  11. Wah! Really a piece of work man! Looks likea real condo! Think it'll look spectacular once completed!
  12. Yup! Place the smaller rocks at the bottom to prop up the bigger rocks. Can place maybe abt 3 or 4 in a triangle or square (looking from the top) as base and then place one big piece on it. Make sure it's stable before stacking the rest.
  13. Hi, Try to leave out blue tangs and moorish idol. Blue tangs will outgrow your tank pretty soon. Also, if you're planning to keep corals, leave out the butterfly fish. Good to see you're adding more LR but not the sea slug (think you'd mean the nudibranch). They have specific feeding needs (sponges) and are not advisable in tanks. Cheers!
  14. Definitely not the normal chillers unless you're getting the commercial chillers like arctica. Never expose chillers to the environment such as rain and water. If under shelter, still have to clean the heat exchanger fins/foils more often from debris and dust. Cheers!
  15. Haha! Buzz-word is right! Anyway, have seen ozone-generator at work in some tanks! Water very clear.
  16. Yup! Scorpion fish just below the upper bunch of tunicates. Think you can keep your skimmate! Looks like you had a great time diving!
  17. Love knows no boundaries my friend. We guys have to get out of that macho crap bubble we live in and deal with it! Gosh! This is the 21st century already...no hunters and gatherers around in Singapore!
  18. Wow! Only one word to describe your tank! 'Beauiful!'
  19. Wah piang! That's alot of cr#p man! I can see that Bare Bottom would be most appropriate for your set up huh! Well thought of man!
  20. ?How is the grounding probe connected? I would suppose that one end would be in the water (would that be in the main tank or sump) and the other to a grounding point right? Anyone can enlighten?
  21. Good idea contacting the authorities! Magnesium is combustible.
  22. Wah Vincent! Nice colours man! Don't forget me when my tank set up hor! Cheers!
  23. hi alfaromeo, Had the idea in mind and when I met with Han Teck to discuss designs for the tank, he said that you did the same thing. Was pretty much inspired by your tank! How's the going? Cheers!
  24. Hi jc85, Yup. The whole tank is tri-view ie. front view=dining area, side view=corridor leading to bedrooms, back view=study. The cabinets are built at the study and with Han Teck's advice, designed so that the tank can be slid out so that the cabinet need not be thrashed in order to remove the tank. Will post some pics next week or so when the renos are over.
