hihi reefer , i have a very nice sunflower coral but they only open up at night or when i on my blue actinic lighting ... which mean when i on my 12000k dymax it will start to close up ... they are near to my lighting ... is it normal ??

are they fighting against each other ?? worm>> crab??

it is not gapping ... and it still response to light like the other ...could something disturb till like that ...look like normal except the tearing ...

l place it in my sump ... thought that the water in the sump is the same as in the main tank ... temp should be the same ??

before i leave for my trip i actually saw my cleaner like kajiao that area a bit ...

hello reefers, clam expert ... just came back from my mount ophir trip and found that there is a lobang like a tearing in my clam under the discharging ######, a big lobang .. look fine to mi and but just that tearing ... should i just throw it away or leave it there to heal ... other clam are fine and doing well ... just that one shopuld i throw it away or leave it there to heal thanks

thanks ryz ... my tap water's nitrate level is 15mg/l... 2 feet and have only 2 fishes ... only 2 realtively small clownfishes ... coral 2 hammers i jewel 4 clams sunflower green mushies (8 frag) orange yuma(2 frag) 1 purple sea fan orange sponge star polyp 4 tubeworms 1 orange sea fan( like burger one) 3 skunk shrimp ,3 snails ... all in my 2 feet tank ... is it too much ??

oh i have a sump same size with my main tank ... using prizm skimmer , ehiem 2213 and live rock er maybe like 15kg or more !!!pack with rock ... coralline doing fine too ...sump have a DSB 15cm deep like tt

haha ... i do my 20% water changes every 3 days ... my coral like hammer , sunflower , bubble and elegance are doing fine too ... and my algae in FUGE are doing crazy too argh ... hate nitrate !!!

suncoral need low lighting ?? no wonder my suncoral sort of like reluctant to open up when i place it near my lighting ... and it only open up at night ... thought it is a strange coral with sleep disorder ...

hello reefer , er do most of u all do weekly testing faithfully using reliable testkit or do weekly testing with ur eyes -- meaning as long as ur system is doing fine u are fine with it ...ie coral open big big , fishes are happy swimming leisurely ... i have prob with my sera testkit ... sometime wonder is it spoil or just tt my water is not good ... it give no3 reading like 80--200mg/l but my coral are opening really big and i have only 2 clownfishes in my 2 feet tank set up lo ...though coral stacking really pack ... or is it possible for coral to open up with reading like 200mg/l or my testkit spoil??

hihi reefers, wowo, just came back from underwater world er , quite fun lah but a bit disappointed with the range of corals and fishes i saw todae ... touch pool -- can touch a bamboo shark ,blue spot sting ray puffer fish too !! thought puffer would puff up when threaten but it seem okie to be molested by the visitors haha ... show case a few sps and lps reef tank .... i would say it very chio loh ....ha but the range of coral is very limited i think lah ...like the chromis-- reef tank ... very nice oh ya and what impress mi most is the leafy sea dragon ... according to the description they can change colour to the surrounding wowo ...they really look like plant and well camou loh ... jellyfish tank also very sweet ... like in a disco neon light refleted everywhere haha... very disappointed with the underwater tunnel -- showcase all the big big really BIG fishes but all very dull ... zero coral sighting haiz ... but see lotsa shark ... like the saw shark ... cute ... the DUGONG ... yes she is very playful loh ... swim like playing like that ... but sad ... only got one ...no friend ... still remember her name is gracie haha now underwater world having promo , so decided to go there see see look look ... had fun

a picture will help a lot ... but red stuff ar ... if there are bubbles on the red stuff it will be cyanobacteria which will be quite troublesome lo...
