For hair algae , get snails from the LFS at $1 each. I had this problem b4 and 1 snail could not keep up so I bought another 2 more and the result ahir algae under control...now I worry there is no algae for the snails!! however the diatom problem was a headache...very difficult...comes back consistently...just have to clean tank glass wall every alternate day thats all. Get the snail.... they really help! Cheers~

Went to Tiong Bahru and Kelantan area to ask for price to build a sump... the material cost without gluing is around $70 plus but if they help you to glue...$180!!!! daylight robbery

Hi, If a 36W PL tube cost $20 and a eballast cost $38 so 2 tube plus eballast is $78. I think paying $120 for 2 PL tube with proper housing should not to too high a price (try to convince myself ) issit??

Is it common that leather will "open" and "close (to change skin)" periodically? So far that's what I observed.

As water evaporates it utilises energy/heat to change state, which results in the cooling...that's a common explaining using fan cooling.

The actinics are supplemental light and in the case of all PL systems they are there to give fluorescent to the corals. Note that you will lose the fluorescent when you change to all 10000K Hi Tanzy, What does "give fluorescent to the corals" mean? is it to make the coral luminous?
