  2. for all you know actually the cat that enter Somebody's house is actually aiming for his marine fishes... hiak hiak...

  5. Maybe by normal singaporean standard this is consider lucky liao can have flat, car, and actually can RETIRE... I wonder in years to come can Singaporean actually retire and enjoy the last few golden years of their life or they have to work till they draws the last breath..
  6. After reading this article. I too realised that I am slaved to my work.. I have not met up with any of my friends for the past 5 months. Luckily I make it a point to spent quality time with family especially the children. I remembered once my son was complaining to me saying that I don't look into his eyes when he talk to me cos' I was too busy doing my office work at home.. I since changed to give my kids more attention and don't bring work back home. Sometime I wonder how people can balance between work, family and friends... sigh. Work and family already took most of my time. Where friends come in then? Hey! on the bright side, I have learn how to balance between Work, Family and a Marine Tank! CHEERS!
  7. Just an update... The skimmer is now powered by the Rio32HF and seems like it can skim out more. As for my return pump using Rio20HF is it doing alright as a return pump, the water exchange between the main tank and sump tank has reduced as such the flow rate in the sump tank reduced accordingly also. But one thing good is (I think) the more powerful skimmer pump can have more contact time with the sump water...
  8. This will do the job ... strictly for short skirt passengers only...
  9. thank Keith.. I will be placing an order for a KR.
  10. Hi framerunner, Reducing SEIO to one is also a good option. I will explore config 2 first, cos' I think having a more powerful pump on the skimmer will increase it efficiency.. am i correct? hmmm .... maybe I end up going for config 2 with just one SEIO... Will try it out this Saturday.
  11. Thanks NeoKN, Will look into config 2 and its head loss. Yes (3) is my current cofig.. this confi which i think might be causing too much current in my main tank. The combined flow-rate for both the SEIO is about 9000 litre/hrs + 4500 litre/hrs (return pump after headloss) so total i might be looking at 13500 litres/hrs in my 3 feet tank. This give a turn-over rate of 33 times my tank volume, it might be good for a full SPS tank. But I think not for my mix reef tank so I am looking at 15-20 times turn-over rate...
  12. Hi I would like to seek opinion from you on which configuration is better: Current Setup - 3x2x2 tank - Circulation pumps: 1 x SEIO 1500, 1 x SEIO 820 - Beckett Skimmer with Rio20HF - Return Pump Rio32HF tee-off Chiller Which of the below configuration is better? (1) - Beckett skimmer with Rio32HF tee-off Chiller - Return pump as Rio20HF - Circulation pumps: 1 x SEIO 1500, 1 x SEIO 820 (2) - Beckett skimmer with Ri032HF - Return pump as Rio20HF tee-off chiller - Circulation pumps: 1 x SEIO 1500, 1 x SEIO 820 (3) - Beckett skimmer with Rio20HF - Return pump as Rio32HF tee-off chiller - Circulation pumps: 1 x SEIO 1500, 1 x SEIO 820 Thank you for your opinion and help !! CHEERS! Rocks

  18. I guess not (i don't have a KR) even if it has.. should be little, cos' any large amount of air in the reactor i guess should be escaped out via the out-flow hose of the reactor to the sump right?
  19. Aged Salt: Thanks for the clarification.. Andy: Thanks CHEERS!
  20. I see. cos' i have this thinking that Kalk Reactor also about the same.. it is air-tight and the kalk solution in the reactor is usually last for 1-2 weeks right? the only diff is that the kalk reactor get fresh water top-up into it every now and then. I may be wrong..
  21. Thanks people. I got the answer to my question which is STN can start anywhere on the SPS. Now i am interested to know the accuracy of Andy info.. CHEERS!
  22. Just want to find out ... RTN for SPS usually starts from the base of the SPS? or it can also start from the other tips and spread downwards to the base? CHEERS!
