They look like pods that are beneficial for your tank dude. I have lots of them when I was cycling my tank. Troops of them like what you descibed crawling over every rock and some on the sandbed too. No worries.

I neutralized that crab alread ahha! i heard from some reefers that during cycling most thing that moves or crawls around are bad. so kill kill kill! is that true haha1

Hey ppl! Just started to cycle my new tank not long and I have came across some funny unknown creatures of mother nature. Here are some that I need ID. Hope this thread also serves to help the rest, should anyone else meet these unknowns in the future.
