Giesmann System Nova II check out the specs at the official website below http://www.giesemann.de/en/meerwasserbeleuchtung/nova.php the first one has been used about 4.5months. 20k DE bulb. asking $450 the other is only 3 months old. 14k DE bulb.asking $500 if you get both, it will be $900. bought them at $12** so its a bargain for top quality lighting. DUN MISS THIS GOOD DEAL!! PM me for contact and viewing details.
  4. some nudis feed om sponges, some on flatworms. however, the diet for most species of nudibranches are unknown.... so it would be unadvisable to try and keep one if you do not know its specific diet. most likely it will either slowly starve to death or eat you precious reef. leave them in the sea where they belong
  5. i'd say check your water parems, my guess is high phospates. different corls have different tolerance levels.
  6. thats what i thought too.. but this is the 3rd day. i'll wait and see
  7. is that normal? 1st time i'm running rowaphos in a reactor though, compared to the old method of using the filter bag, i noticed -more than usual orange sediment -tank is clouded for longer (2 days) -and my H&S doesn't skim anymore! feeding is as per normal but the cup is empty, lots of bubbles still but don't seem to foam up like before
  8. really good car! but if you wanna talk balls... try driving a singapore registered Brand New BMW! now THAT! takes balls

  14. as above, 2 bulbs actually bought 2 20k bulbs and 2 10k bulbs from edmund's last bulk order but only came 20k bulbs so i got 4... and his new range of hamilton bulbs dun fit my socket so anyone wanna trade? they're brand new, still have the receipt. can buy at $100each, thats what i paid.
  15. emerald crabs are not herbivores, i have a pair, and they will feed on any meat they can get. although they do graze on algae, i have often found them in the chicken essence bottle trap i leave out for the hairy crabs.
  16. thanks! i'll go look, the screws on my calc reactor a little corroded
  17. as above, i've already been to kelantan lane's 'Screw King', the ones that they sell are too short for me. pref want butterfly nuts
  18. yup, thats the cause right there... i have more fish than you and i feed much much lesser fish do not need that much to eat, let them graze on the LR... feed your tangs nori, maybe half a cube of BS to supplement? once a day? twice on sundays and public hols there should be no leftovers, i'd rather they be not so full than have food rotting in the tank thats a lot of skimmate! you can try tuning to get dryer skimmate open it and clean it, bet you its full of detritus, if possible wash with salt water you can try setting up a refugium, it has many benefits. try reef safe hermits, or ceriths or nasarius snails. or a brittle star
  19. you have to see what is the source of your NO3, overfeeding? poor water circulation? do you have a good skimmer? how mature is your tank? what form of NNR are you using? bad test kit? some people use a mature Deep Sand Bed, others use a refugium for nutrient export. some use lots of Live rock with no sand, whats yours? 75% water change might actually do more harm than good, try doing 20% every 2-3 days if you are desperate. try and furnish us with more info, and i'm sure someone here will help you. sorry, i just reread your thread, I'd chuck the UGF ASAP. how mature is your DSB? give it about 6months -1 year... it'll do a good job
  20. bro, sorry i kaypo a bit... think those are star polyps, not caulerpa actually i thought it was a pipe organ coral $5 is a good buy
