  1. of course, you are not going to keep algae-eaters in your refugium
  2. i'm using jebao eco-pump, 4000L drawing 33W
  3. To observe your tank. Make sure the debris do not settle at any corner of your tank. Every part of the tank, should have flow of water. This is how i determine if the flow is sufficient.
  4. there are certain magnet cleaners which claimed to be harmless to acrylic material. If i'm not wrong, the larger the tank is, acrylic will be more economical compared to glass.
  5. nice additions.. bro, where u get your red plate with green tentacles from ?
  6. do let me know if the buyer back out. I will take one. thanks.
  7. Lighting - AI Vega / Hydras , Radion, Mitras Skimmer - Deltec any suitable model Monitor and controller - Neptune APEX Reactor - Biopellets, biosphere etc.. Return pump - Abyzz A200 Wavemaker - same old choices, Tunze, Vortech etc.

  11. Thank you guys for your kind responses. I have managed to get some from a kind bro here.. Mr Kraken. Thanks !
  12. for me i wont chase for the figures. as long as it is consistent.. be it slightly higher or lower, i dun think your corals/fish will make a big fuss of it
  13. Hi bros, I'm looking for some cheato to seed my refugium. ONLY cheatos without any other algae (feather, red slime etc). Prefer to deal in Bukit Panjang area or West. Please pm me if you have. Thank you !
  14. As per topic.. Thanks for your help !
  15. Thanks guys for your compliments. I must admit that i'm pretty bad in rockscaping or selecting live rocks.
  16. Hi Resser, You are right. But my initial intention is to have the chiller's heat discharge outlet to be placed facing the cabinet opening directly. Meaning to say that, no or nominal heat will be in the cabinet. The purpose of drawing the air into the cabinet is to 1) cool down the adaptors 2) for chiller air in-take.. anyway i will try out all suggestions provided by the bros here to see which is the best way
  17. Live Rocks in place.. marks the beginning of cycling the tank... 45 days counting down...tick tock tick tock... Treated the liverocks with super duper salt water and this is what i got from the rocks..this is only part of it.. still have plenty of dead crabs/critters and worms..
  18. although the tubes still working, the intensity might have reduced and the spectrum might be shifted. depends on what tubes you are using and the corals requirement. Usually is 9 - 12 months for optimal performance.
  19. Hi bros, A quick one. The heat emitted from the chiller is from the front or rear ? Thanks
  20. nahh is okay, later the design to complicated.. the tank maker blur.. anyway nth much will happen in this one or two months time as i will be taking my own sweet time to cycle the tank. Will post more once I have introduced livestocks !
  21. Ohh noted bro. Never thought of that. Thanks
  22. You mean the comb? I'm planning to keep some not reef-safe fish in the refugium as well
  23. About 30cm.. I haven really measured yet. Anyway will fine tune it when I start stocking. Still a long way to go... Now the tank is running with fresh water
  24. Wilson, the heat exchange for Artica chiller is at front? I hope it is. Otherwise I have to turn around the chiller. The idea is to have the heat discharge facing the opening
